The objectives of the Society shall be:

• To foster and support the program and objectives of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

• To provide opportunities for spiritual growth and Christian fellowship among the women of ORL.

• To further a love for and to help provide for active participation in Christian Service.

The LWML at ORL is made up of the members of the organized circles and/or any woman who wishes to be a member of LWML without circle membership.

Are you Interested in joining LWML?

Membership is open to any woman who is a communicant members of ORL’s Congregation. Membership shall be made by expressing that desire to the circle or society president. New members shall be welcomed in a regular constituted society meeting.

What’s a Circle?

• Circles are working units that carry out the objectives of the Society

• Each Circle engages in activities approved by the LWML and begin each meeting with a devotion or Christian topic.

• They only accept free-will offerings.

ORL has 3 Circles

• Circle 1 works on quilting for the Orphan Grain Train during their Mission of Love gathering at 9am on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Then they have their Circle meeting at 1pm that same day. They also correspond with ORLs shut-ins, with birthday and Christmas cards and goodie bags.

• Circle 3 meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm. These ladies are the “Marthas” of ORL who are almost always busy in the kitchen or the Fellowship Hall.

• Circle 4 meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm. They create banners, especially baptism banners for ORLs newest members.

• Collect school supplies, coats and backpacks for Faris School.

• ORL Food Bank as needed.
